Horatia Winwood is the youngest and the least attractive of the three Winwood sisters. She also has a stammer. But when the enigmatic and eminently eligible Earl of Rule offers for her oldest sister’s hand – a match that makes financial and social sense, but would break her heart – it is Horatia who takes matters into her own impetuous hands. Can she save her family’s fortune? Or is she courting disaster? Witty, charming, elegant and always delightful, Georgette Heyer – the undisputed Queen of Regency Romance – brings the whole period to life with deft precision and glorious characters. Now available @ Naxos Audio Books, read by Richard Armitage. (listen to the sample and the interview via the links below. enjoy!)

  2. This screams for a Yiddish version. I’ll get to work immediately.

BBC Audiobooks)

      Dear Edwin,
      (…..)
Of the four titles in the Saxon Chronicles, I am not at all surprised that you are opting to purchase Lords of the North. This particular title has picked up huge international interest and is featured or mentioned on several Richard Armitage fan sites on the web. Having spoken to the webmasters of these sites, most enquiries about LotN from these sites tend to point to my email address (I am the ‘go to’ guy for LotN, it seems…). Richard’s reading really has caught the public eye/ear. Unfortunately, his professional commitments and schedule mean that we have not been able to secure his services for latter releases in the Saxon Chronicles. One last thing that I feel is worth mentioning, every single LotN webmaster/enquirer/purchaser worldwide (and they tend to be female, you’re bucking the trend here!) has been an absolute delight to deal with, pretty much without exception. Not quite sure how or why, but there you go. Given your profession, it would be interesting to hear your feedback or response once you’ve heard the recording.
That aside, please see info below regards Lords of the North. This complete and unabridged title is available to order on 10CDs (ISBN- 9781405623698) and is brilliantly read by Richard Armitage. It is available to order exclusively from The Audiobook Collection, based in Bath, UK.
The title is priced at GBP 22.99, with UK P&P an additional GBP 3.50
If ordering the title to be sent to Europe, then the price is GBP 22.99, with Airmail P&P an additional GBP 4.99, so GBP 27.98 in total
BBC Audiobooks has recently been sold and we are now known as AudioGO Ltd, and as such we are temporarily without a website. To place an order, please contact our Customer Service team on +44 (0)1225 443400 (Mon-Fri 09.00–17.00) who will be very happy to help or answer any questions.

    ciao, K.

  6. An enjoyable read The Convenient Marriage by Georgette Heyer. loved the way you wrote it. I find your review very genuine and original, this book is going in by “to read” list.
